Ross Burney

Chief Executive Officer &
Chief Investment Officer

Prior to the formation of Hume Partners in 2015, Ross was the CEO of the Peter Scanlon Family Office for five years and was responsible for a diverse range of investments including private equity, listed securities, credit and property.

Ross has represented the Scanlon family interests on the boards of public companies such as Qube Holdings Limited, Ruralco Holdings Limited and Oncard International Limited and private vehicles such as Bennelong Real Estate, Taverners Group and Kaplan Equity Limited and has served as a trustee of the Scanlon Foundation.

Prior to this Ross worked variously for Guinness Peat Group, Brierley Investments and BDO Chartered Accountants, in Sydney and London. He has over 25 years’ experience as a CEO, investment manager and accountant.

Kate Wilkie

Chief Financial Officer

Kate has over 15 years’ experience providing a full range of accounting, audit, advisory and corporate finance services to both large private businesses and public companies in the funds management, transport and retail industries.

Kate has worked with many listed and unlisted boards to enhance corporate governance practices and implement rigorous reporting and internal control frameworks. She has been a non-executive director of National Patient Transport. Prior to becoming Chief Financial Officer of Hume Partners, Kate was the Financial Controller of the Taverners Group and is currently a non-executive director of Albert Park Driving Range and a treasurer of the Not-For-Profit organisation, Community Hubs.

Kate is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and holds a degree in Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Andrew Lally

Investment Director

Andrew’s career has focused on high conviction investing across both credit and equity markets for over 20 years. He has a core philosophy of providing investors superior and consistent risk adjusted returns through a long-term private investor mindset.

As an Investment Director at Hume, Andrew is continually on the search for mispriced investment opportunities. Andrew’s role involves investment idea generation, due diligence, deal structuring and ongoing management of credit and equity portfolios.

Prior to joining Hume in 2016, Andrew has worked in a wide range of leadership, senior portfolio management and investment analyst roles across the funds management industry, including at River Capital Pty Ltd, AMP Capital Ltd, and Standard & Poor’s. Andrew holds a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

John Crosby

Consultant

John founded Brencorp Properties in 1991 with Peter Scanlon.

Prior to this, John was a director of Lensworth which developed various large Master Planned Communities such as North Lakes (Qld), Kawana Waters (Qld), Glenmore Park (NSW) and Craigieburn (Vic).

John was previously a director of the South Australian Urban Land Trust and Baulderstone Hornibrook.

Scott Davies

Managing Director, Hume Property

Scott joined Bennelong Group in 2008, responsible for executing the BPFM strategy and leading leasing and sales transactions and property development. Scott has 34 years’ experience in the property industry spanning funds management, property development, marketing & sales, leasing, asset management, valuations consultancy and project financing.

Scott was previously Victorian State Manager for ASX listed Valad Property Group, and prior to that he was National Head of Coles Myer Limited’s Property Group. From 1999 to 2002 Scott was a Director of Multiplex Development, following a long and successful career in commercial real estate.

 

Jacqui Withers

Commercial Manager – Property

Jacqui is an experienced accountant including more than five years as the Financial Accountant for Taverners Group’s land subdivision property companies, Brencorp Properties and Brencorp Keysborough. Jacqui has actively worked with joint venture partners, construction groups and marketing teams, bringing a strong understanding of the projects to help forecast whole of life cashflows and project profits.

After living in London for 18 months, working at State Street Bank and Trust as a Legal Entity Controller, Jacqui has returned to Hume Partners rejoining the property team where her passion lies.

 

Tim Davey

National Project Manager

Tim has over 28 years’ experience in a range of capacities with several well-known building companies. His experience spams residential, aged care, commercial office and social infrastructure projects. He has also project managed major scale refurbishments and fit out contracts in some of Australia’s largest commercial office towers.

Tim manages the capex spend across the property portfolio, ensuring that the most innovative and cost effective solutions are delivered. He also manages property services consultants, contractors, surveyors and maintenance specialists.

Tim is a registered building practitioner with the Master Builders Association of Victoria.

Robertson Brooks

General Manager, Aware Water

Robertson is an experienced water and real assets investment professional managing assets for close to a decade within one of the world’s most advanced water investment and trading markets, Australia’s Murray Darling Basin.

He is currently General Manager of the Aware Water Group responsible for strategy and growth of the company’s activities within the Australian water sector across urban and rural water infrastructure, water dependent assets or operations, water risk strategies and water entitlement and water allocation investment.

Prior to this role, Robertson was Regional Director for Australia for a specialist water investment firm, Summit Global Management LLC, where he was responsible for all investment and management activities including the acquisition and development of one of the largest privately held water entitlement portfolios in Australia. He continues to be an adviser to Summit Global Management LLC on the Australian water market, the commercial and regulatory environment and the potential investment opportunities for the rural and urban water sector.

His prior roles include Investment Director at Blue Sky Water Partners, Portfolio Manager at Rural Bank, Senior Financial Analyst at the International division of Telstra Corporation and Strategy Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers / IBM Consulting.
