Chief Executive Officer
Prior to the formation of Hume Partners in 2015, Ross was the CEO of the Peter Scanlon Family Office for five (5) years responsible for a diverse range of investments including private equity, listed securities, credit and property.
He has represented the Scanlon family interests on the boards of public companies such as Qube Holdings Limited, Ruralco Holdings Limited and Oncard International Limited and private vehicles such as Bennelong Real Estate, Taverners Group and Kaplan Equity Limited and has served as a trustee of the Scanlon Foundation.
Prior to this Ross worked variously for Guinness Peat Group, Brierley Investments and BDO Chartered Accountants, in Sydney and London. He has over 25 years’ experience as a CEO, investment manager and accountant.
Chief Financial Officer
Kate has over 20 years’ experience providing a full range of accounting, audit, advisory and corporate finance services to both large private businesses and public companies in the funds management, transport and retail industries.
Kate has worked with many listed and unlisted boards to enhance corporate governance practices and implement rigorous reporting and internal control frameworks. She has been a non-executive director of National Patient Transport. Prior to becoming Chief Financial Officer of Hume Partners, Kate was the Financial Controller of the Taverners Group and is currently a non-executive director of Albert Park Driving Range and a member of the Not-For-Profit organisation, Community Hubs.
Kate is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and holds a degree in Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
Investment Committee Member
Currently a consultant with Hume Partners, Joe has extensive experience managing and operating multinational businesses in the technology sector.
Prior to Hume Partners Joe was the Chief Executive Officer of publicly listed, global sports technology leader – Catapult Sports for 2.5 years. Prior to Catapult Joe spent 10 years with SEEK Ltd. In that time, he was Managing Director of SEEK Education where he oversaw various education businesses in Australia and internationally. Joe also spent six years as Managing Director of SEEK Employment, responsible for the day-to-day management of SEEK’s core Online Employment business in Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to SEEK, Joe spent 11 years at Optus in various management roles, after starting his career as an accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Joe also has significant board experience with Online Education Services and IDP Education and is a current director of the Richmond Football Club and the Migration Council Australia.
Project Development Director
Scott joined Bennelong Group (Hume Partners Property) in 2008, responsible for executing the property strategy and leading leasing, sales transactions and property development. Scott has 39 years’ experience in the property industry spanning funds management, property development, marketing & sales, leasing, asset management, valuations consultancy and project financing.
Scott was previously Victorian State Manager for ASX listed Valad Property Group, and prior to that National Head of Coles Myer Limited’s Property Group. From 1999 to 2002 Scott was Executive Director Multiplex Developments, following a long and successful career in commercial real estate.
Director Property Development
Jacqui has over 13 years’ accounting and property investment experience focused on the residential land sub-division space. Jacqui actively works with joint venture partners, construction groups, consultants and marketing teams, bringing a strong understanding of the projects to help forecast whole of life cashflows and project profits.
Jacqui is a director of Brencorp Properties and its subsidiary companies. She is dedicated to achieving the best results for current projects as well as looking for new opportunities.
Jacqui is a member of CPA Australia and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Monash University.
Tim has over 28 years in a range of capacities with several well-known building companies. His experience spans residential, aged care, commercial office, childcare and social infrastructure. Tim has also project managed major scale office refurbishments and fit out contracts in some of Australia’s largest commercial office towers.
Tim manages the CAPEX spend across the property portfolio, ensuring that the most innovative and cost effective solutions are delivered. He also manages the property services consultants, contractors, surveyors and maintenance contractors.
Tim is a registered building practitioner with the Master Builders Association of Victoria.
Investment Committee Member
Prior to joining Hume Partners, Chris worked at REST as Director, Australian Equities for eight years where he was responsible for establishing the in-house equity capability for REST and managing the Core Australian Equity Portfolio.
Prior to REST Chris had a 23 year career with Goldman Sachs Australia and its predecessor JBWere. Chris was a Managing Director (JBWere Partner) and held a number of senior roles including Deputy Head of Research, Equity Strategist, Head of International Research based in New York and sat on the investment committee of the in-house Superannuation Fund (BEST).
Chris currently serves on the Investment Committees of a Sydney based Family Office, the NGV, Newman College (Melbourne Uni), Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak and is Chairman of the Loreto Province Finance Advisory Committee.
Chris was educated at Sydney University graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering (Chem.; Honours). He has completed Graduate Diplomas in Accounting at Flinders University and in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
